American Buffalo
My goal that day was to capture a photograph of a buffalo so clear and crisp that it would impress my family and friends. The landscape was still transitioning from the bleakness of winter, and there hadn‘t been much to photograph that week. But my determination to succeed despite the odds kept me going.
As I arrived, the field greeted me with a quiet serenity, the kind that only nature reserves possess. The air was fresh, carrying a subtle blend of budding flowers and damp earth. I drove around with my camera, a heavy telephoto lens mounted, ready to capture any opportunity that might arise.
The landscape was a mix of rolling plains and patches of trees just beginning to sprout new leaves. The sights were modest, the colors muted, with only occasional bursts of green.
There, in the distance, I saw it: a lone buffalo, grazing peacefully.
