The air was sharp and electric as I stepped out into the Colorado wilderness, my heart thrumming with anticipation. I had come here for one purpose: to capture the legendary fall colors of the aspens. Golden canopies whispered in the wind, their leaves shimmering like coins against the deep green pines. But I knew this beauty was fleeting. Timing was everything, and the light was slipping away.
The earthy scent of fallen leaves and pine resin surrounded me, grounding me in the moment. The trail was quiet save for the crunch of my boots and the occasional rustle of a squirrel darting through the underbrush.
